Tragic News: Daniel Quattlebaum Passes Away from Injuries After Motorcycle Accident

Champion bodybuilder Daniel Quattlebaum has passed away at the age of 50 after a motorcycle accident. 

The incident occurred on Friday, May 26th on I-85 Southbound in Greenville County, South Carolina when Quattlebaum's motorcycle hit the rear of a sedan. He was taken to Greenville Memorial Hospital and treated for his injuries but passed away the following day. There are no further details regarding the nature of his injuries. 

Quattlebaum was a successful bodybuilder at the NPC level, with his career spanning a decade and boasting four victories. He won the NPC Victory Classic twice in 2019 and 2021 and also won the NPC Universe & NPC National Fitness Championships in 2021. Quattlebaum is survived by his mother, stepfather, and siblings. 

A memorial service was held at the Robinson Funeral Home Chapel in Easley, South Carolina, on Wednesday. The bodybuilding community has experienced several losses in recent years, including IFBB Pro bodybuilder Dallas McCarver and Women's Physique competitor Amy Richardson. The loss of Quattlebaum has added to the community's grief.
