Lee Priest Advises Big Ramy to Take Up Acting Like Martyn Ford

Lee Priest, former bodybuilder, and two-time Mr. Olympia have offered his take on the retirement pressures looming over Mamdouh ‘Big Ramy’ Elssbiay. Speaking in a recent RxMuscle video, Priest suggested that Ramy’s recent string of subpar performances may be due to problems with dieting and contest prep. While some in the bodybuilding community have called for Ramy to retire, Priest thinks the Egyptian native should pursue a career in acting like UK fitness influencer Martyn Ford.

“Ramy has nothing left to prove, and he doesn’t need the money,” Priest said. “He should downsize and preserve his health, maybe try acting like Martyn Ford.”

Priest also highlighted the importance of changing one’s diet and workout routine, suggesting that what works for one show won’t necessarily work again in the future. He urged Ramy to explore different diets and training methods to find what works best for him. Despite some in the community doubting Ramy’s future success, Priest believes that the former Mr. Olympia still has plenty of potentials.

“Ramy doesn’t have any kind of damage – his physique has just changed as he’s gotten older,” said Priest’s colleague Dave Palumbo. “He could still surprise us all.”

At the end of the day, whether Ramy decides to retire or pursue other ventures, Priest thinks he should do what makes him happy. “He competes because he loves the sport, and that’s all that really matters,” Priest said.

Whether or not Ramy retires from bodybuilding remains to be seen, but one thing’s for sure – he’s got plenty of support and advice from his fellow athletes.
