Phil Heath hinted at a return to bodybuilding in a recent Instagram
Phil Heath teased a return to bodybuilding in a recent Instagram story, and fans are eager to see the seven-time Mr. Olympia back in the competition. Heath has kept his physique in championship shape, and many believe he could be a serious contender if he decides to return to the sport. While it remains to be seen if Heath will actually compete again, there is no doubt that he has the potential to be a force to be reckoned with if he does decide to make a comeback.
Heath was the best bodybuilder from 2011-2017, winning seven consecutive Sandow Trophies. He was so successful because of his large size and shredded physique. Heath has stayed in great shape since he retired from competition after appearing at the Olympia in 2020.
Phil has been honest about his likelihood of returning. Earlier this year, he said that he only had a 5 percent chance of coming back. Even though lots of people thought Heath would compete this year, he stated that he won’t be going up against the Men’s Open lineup at the 2022 Mr. Olympia. Instead, the legend will be commentating at the event.
Although the story has faded, it was recorded by various YouTube channels. The one linked below says that Phil Heath has confirmed he will return to competition; however, that is not accurate. He does mention rebuilding his physique and states there are plans for 2023
Heath is already in great shape for the championships, so it will be fascinating to see how he changes his physique. Most likely, Heath wants to win the Olympia, which could be why he seeks further improvement. Only a short wait until the calendar switches to November and fans can see the transformation.
