LIVER King has a unique muscular body, which he says is due to his raw meat diet. Some people have wondered if he uses steroids to bulk up his frame. Liver King has 1.6 million subscribers on Instagram. He attributes his amazing body to following the ancestral lifestyle. Brian Johnson's ancestral lifestyle includes nine tenets: eating, sleeping, moving, shielding, connecting, cold, sun, fighting, and bonding.



Is Liver King on steroids?

Liver King, whose real name is Brian Johnson, has vehemently denied taking steroids to maintain his body. In August of 2022, he was forced to address the issue when commentator Joe Rogan said the Liver King used drugs to improve his appearance.

Joe told Andrew Huberman's podcast: "I get really frustrated when I see 'The Liver King' because that guy is on steroids.

“Just Shut the F**k Up” I am aware that he is eating healthily.

"He's obviously eating all these animal foods and you know he's eating organ meat, which is chock-full of nutrients... All that being said, just look at him.

"It's not common to have a build like that and not be on steroids, right?... I don't care how much you lift weights, that is an abnormal physique."

In response to Joe's claims Liver King told his followers: "I think it's dangerous for him to say that [Liver King's using steroids].


"What I want is to set the record straight. I would really appreciate the opportunity to talk to him face-to-face.

"To get a full understanding of the nine ancestral tenets…I haven't done steroids, I'm not going to do steroids, and I don't mess with that stuff."

What does the Liver King's diet look like?

Liver King keeps his body in shape by eating a diet of raw beef liver, protein shakes, egg yolks, and bone marrow. He attributes his fantastic physique to following the ancestral lifestyle.

These are the nine tenets: eating, sleeping, moving, shielding, connecting, cold, sun, fighting, and bonding.

He told GQ that he eats approximately one pound of raw liver each day; however, he suggests that others start with three ounces two times a week. He also has a pretty minimalist lifestyle, sleeping on a bed made out of wooden pallets.

How large can you get without using supplements?

Most men can gain 40 to 50 pounds of muscle, and most women can gain 20 to 25 pounds throughout their lifetimes.

Studies indicate that you can forecast how much muscle you can gain by measuring the circumference of your wrists and ankles.
