WORLD'S MOST SHREDDED OLD MAN - Master Roshi in Real life
Nhon Ly a 55-year-old Vietnamese-born professional bodybuilder from California has been dubbed the “real-life Master Roshi” for his uncanny resemblance to the popular Dragon Ball Z anime character. A post on the Bodybuilding.com forums in 2016 brought him to the attention of the internet and he’s been gaining fans ever since. He’s even met some of the voice actors who have played Master Roshi in English-language versions of the anime and they say he looks just like the character.
Nhon Ly is known for his hard work and dedication to the sport. He trains regularly and follows a strict diet to make sure he is in peak physical condition. This has paid off as he is now one of the most successful professional bodybuilders in the world.
Nhon Ly sure doesn’t look like your average 55-year-old. In fact, he looks better than most guys in their 20s with his lean toned muscles and youthful attitude. But what sets Ly apart from all the rest is his uncanny resemblance to Dragon Ball Z character Master Roshi aka the Turtle Hermit in his “final form”. And apparently, he liked the comparison so much that he even set his Instagram handle as @master_roshi_real_life
Nhon Ly has been living in the United States for over 30 years now. He arrived here as a teenager in 1980 and started working as a pedicurist. He gradually worked his way up to salon owner and his biggest passion always has been bodybuilding. Ly has competed in several professional bodybuilding events with his most notable results coming in 2011 when he placed 4th at the US Championship 7th at the 2012 edition and 5th at the 2015 Nationals.
